What is Reiki?
Reiki is an energetic form of therapy that originated in Japan and was developed by Mikao Usui in the early 1920s. The term Reiki is derived from 'rei' meaning universal and 'ki' meaning life force energy. Reiki aims to unblock the flow of energy in the body, which can be disrupted by stress and other factors, leading to various complaints. By utilizing universal life force energy, Reiki helps to soothe blockages and enhance the body's self-healing abilities. Practicing reiki helps individuals regain balance and promote spiritual development. Reiki treatments typically involve hand positions, but since energy is not limited by time or distance, remote sessions are also possible. Despite its abstract nature, the concept is similar to the instinctual response of placing a hand on your body after hurting yourself. In addition to humans, Reiki can be applied to animals and plants. It basically has effect on all living beings.
“Reiki is love, Love is wholeness, Wholeness is balance. Balance is well being, Well being is freedom from disease” - Dr. Mikao Usui
How Reiki works
When we come into this world, we each start with a pure and flowing energy, much like a clean river. However, life experiences can introduce obstacles and difficulties. These challenges, such as trauma, emotional pain, and limiting beliefs, are like stones that gather in our once 'clean' river, disrupting the natural flow of our energy. The more stones in our river, the more our energy flow is blocked.
In a reiki session, these stones are gradually released. As a reiki practitioner, I access the universal life force energy and act as a conduit, allowing you to awaken your self-healing abilities and restore the free flow of your energy. While it can be complicated for some to understand how Reiki works, you should think of it as a kind of meditation, but with profound effects.
During face-to-face sessions, you simply sit in the treatment area fully clothed. For remote sessions, you can relax at home, and we will connect via a call.

Reiki Healing Circles
A reiki circle, facilitated by me as reiki master, is a group gathering where you will receive reiki to stimulate your own self-healing capabilities. Next to a reiki session, the circle may involve various practices such as meditation, intention settings, and space for sharing any thoughts or insights. This nurturing and welcoming environment provides an opportunity to release stress and achieve deep relaxation. Typically lasting 1.5 to 2 hours, these circles are open to all who are keen on exploring the healing potential of reiki. Immerse yourself in a Reiki circle and discover the transformative effects of this ancient Japanese healing technique.

Frequency of treatments
Typically, you can receive a Reiki session as often as you feel necessary. Consistent follow-up sessions may be necessary for specific issues, and monthly maintenance sessions are recommended. Each Reiki session builds upon the last, allowing for the gradual release of blocked energy and emotional patterns. The more sessions you have, the more consistent and effective the results are, providing a strong foundation for long-lasting healing.
However, the frequency of sessions ultimately depends on your personal preference and needs. Some clients may benefit from weekly sessions, while others may find monthly or even quarterly sessions sufficient. It is important to listen to your body and intuition to determine the best frequency for you.
